The Review
The splitter to the C63 gives it an even more aggressive looking stance...
So, following a situation that I will only describe one day when I am old and ready, I decided that I would add a front splitter to the C63 AMG S. And you know what I am really happy that I did. Even out of the box with nothing added, the front of the C63 is mean. Very very mean looking. Big vents (which are all very real on the S), slick grille and the nice chunky badge. My car is also finished in the silky smooth selenite grey magno, which just takes mean to a whole new level!
However, because of aforementioned situation not mentioned, I decided to take things one step further and started looking for a front splitter for my car. First thing is that there are TONS of them out there ranging from Just over £100 to an eyewatering £3.5k ish if you are in the market for a full on Brabus, real carbon, winged beast of a splitter. I wasn't ready to go all the way or come all the way down. I was looking for something somewhere at the lower end for now, but would give the car that extra finish wanted. I checked all the usual tuners, including CKS Performance here in the UK. The options seemed to fall into one of a few categories. The Edition 1 style, which essentially fits under your existing bumper. The style that fits over the original "splitter" under the big front vents. And last but not least, the one with wings! All have their pros and cons! I really liked the aggressiveness look of the winged splitter, but even then all carbon splitters (all seem to be carbon) are not created equal. I was back and forward between wings and no wings for a while. Some of the images I was seeing were just horrific. Really looking like the part didn't belong to the car! Finally I came across a nice... I am gonna call it "Carbon look" until someone corrects me, wing from XtremeCarbon (who have actually read this review and confirmed their wings are 100% carbon (Thanks guys))! Looked like what I wanted but again I was sceptical, given I had never heard of them and based on all the examples I saw. Called up and spoke to a nice guy who pointed me in the right direction.
3 days later I was laying in the street fitting a front splitter!! And check out the pics! Looks awesome in my view. This is however, just day one, so I will provide an update in the coming weeks and months if anything to report back to you all.
But for now, Enjoy and if it makes sense, get yourself a front splitter. :)
I also promised that I would add a link to the Xtreme Carbon site for anyone looking for the same splitter.

Only fitted the splitter this morning so I can't yet say how good or bad it might be, but what I can say is that at £550 ish, real carbon or not, it really sets the car off and makes it look about as mean as a c63 can look without going all out.
